It is so important to create what you desire your future to be. It is an ongoing process, creating one's future. It takes focus as well as evaluating the process. I had spent years being obese, and chose to change that two and a half years ago. The journey to health and fitness has been a process, sometimes three steps forward and two back. As long as I continue to work at being thin and healthy then I will remain so, To lose focus will only take away all that I have worked for. At times it is difficult for me, I have to remember not to take my new way of life for granted. I have worked hard to be where I am today and finally realized that this is a life long journey and that I must continue to be active to keep this dream a reality. I do go to the gym 6-7 times a week. I do cardio and weight lifting and I meet with my trainer. Although my weight does fluctuate depending on what is going on in my life I really believe for the first time in my life that I have a "handle" on it. I almost feel normal, but can't help but think that normal people don't have to work so hard at staying healthy and fit. I found losing weight much easier than maintaining it. I guess I thought it would be much easier once I was at goal. I read the statistics that most people who lose weight put it all back on and it scares me enough to remain focused. One thing I know for sure is that I will never travel back to where I was. I will never be obese again. It does take work...but it is oh so worth it.
