Dear John,

         We write this letter with both love and pride, for the boy you once were, and the man you have become. We cannot think of a time that you have not been a joy to our hearts and a blessing to our lives.

 Soon, so very soon, you are to become a husband.  When a child finds true love, parents know true joy. Be assured in Becky, you have made a fine choice.  Dad and I know you will be happy together, just remember to be committed to each other and you will have a love that will last forever.  Work hard, set goals together and obtain them.  However, never forget to play hard; for it is in play, you refresh that which drew you together in the first place.

We never know what the future holds, but we are certain that the two of you can handle anything together.  Becky is the ying to your yang.  Know that we love her as our own.

 If the type of son you have been is a prediction of the type of husband you will become, then Becky is one lucky lady.

We live our life in phases. When one ends, another begins. You are no longer one you are now two.   Today your life as a husband to Becky is a new phase…the future is yours. Remember change is constant and life is short. So seize the moment and live life to the fullest, have no regrets.

Lastly, don’t forget to finish your milk and say your prayers….
